MSc in Electronic Information Engineering

The MSc programme aims to provide an enhancement of specialist technical knowledge in strategically selected areas, such as RF and Microwaves Circuits and Applied Electromagnetics, Wireless Communications, Networking and Data Communications and Optical Communications that are relevant to the current and anticipated future needs from industry. Due to the rapid advances of existing technologies, the programme is designed for practicing engineers who want to upgrade and update their knowledge in this field. The programme offers a good selection of business management electives, preparing engineers with knowledge on top of their technical fronts to take up managerial positions in their engineering career. The programme also offers Industrial or Research Internship experience via the Applied Research Internship Scheme preparing students for full employment immediately after their research internships, or for further studies as PhD candidates in their related technology areas either locally or in overseas 

MSc in Computer Science

The program aims to (1) enable computer professionals to strengthen and upgrade their technical capabilities in computer software development, (2) broaden students’ knowledge and deepen their understanding of key issues of specific areas in computer science, including artificial intelligence, data science, information security, multimedia, and other related contemporary technologies, and (3) prepare graduates to take up research and advanced innovative development work in the industry or pursue higher research studies.

MSc in Engineering Management

The program is designed to equip students with extensive knowledge in engineering management, enhancing their problem-solving and decision-making capabilities for projects centered on discovery and innovation. It focuses on developing managerial skills-such as behavioral and communication skills-critical for engineers transitioning into management roles. Additionally, the program emphasizes the integration and application of engineering and managerial knowledge in managing projects, operations, products, and services within engineering and manufacturing enterprises. It also nurtures the ability to generate innovative ideas and undertake engineering management projects or research, transforming discoveries and innovations into practical implementations.

MSc in Data Science

The program is designed to cultivate data-analytic graduates equipped to fulfill the increasing demand for advanced data science skills. It prepares graduates to effectively apply data science techniques for knowledge discovery and dissemination, enhancing organizational decision-making processes. Additionally, the program serves as a developmental platform for data analytic professionals seeking to elevate their technical management and development skills. It also offers a streamlined pathway for students from related quantitative disciplines to transition seamlessly into data science careers.

MSc in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology

The program aims to provide an opportunity for university graduates in physical science or engineering to obtain specialized knowledge in materials engineering and nanotechnology. It also provides an opportunity for applied scientists and engineers in industry to pursue in-depth studies in various aspects of materials engineering and nanotechnology.

MSc in Business Information Systems

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Stream aims to train students in the core domains of business and cutting-edge information systems that underpin the contemporary information society, so that graduates can excel in careers with professional positions that require both advanced business knowledge and IT-enabled problem solving skills.

MSc in Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering focuses on using engineering principles, techniques and design concepts for healthcare purposes. There is an increasing demand for education and development in the field to improve healthcare and quality of life. The demand has driven the need for developing professionals who will advance the evolution of modern healthcare system, treatment and technology. The Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering (MsBME) Programme aims to offer education and training opportunity to engineers to pursue higher-level study in biomedical field to promote engineering to future healthcare applications.
