City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) was formally admitted to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance following approval by the Alliance’s Council on 11 July.

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has achieved outstanding results in the 2025–2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings, placing 54th among 2,250 universities worldwide — a significant leap of 25 places from last year.
